Steven Keightley, MFT · Marriage and Family Therapist
Spiritual and professional seeking led me to receive my M.A. in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University in the San Francisco Bay Area. My clinical experience has included providing individual and group counseling to adults with severe and persistent mental illness at a day treatment center, conducting intakes and counseling clients at a methadone clinic, counseling middle-school boys, working as a therapeutic behavioral coach for emotionally disturbed adolescents, and counseling dually-diagnosed adults in residential treatment.
At The Psychotherapy Institute in Berkeley, I completed advanced clinical training and provided therapy to individuals and couples at an intensive two-year, psycho-dynamically oriented post-graduate training program. I then managed my own private psychotherapy practice in Berkeley from 2010 to 2011.
In 2012, I relocated to the Pasadena area to practice in this dynamic and diverse part of the world. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and as of 2015, President of the San Gabriel Valley chapter of CAMFT, and am an avid cyclist, hiker, and reader.
As of Summer 2016 I have moved back to the Bay Area.
I am doing Clinical Supervision but not seeing clients at this time.
